OUR ROLE AS INTERMEDIARY

SwissVillage is a non-profit intermediary that connects service providers with individuals seeking services. It is an initiative of the Swiss employment agency. We are not a party to any agreement between users and do not:

  • Employ or contract with service providers
  • Handle, process, or guarantee any payments
  • Supervise, direct, or control the services provided
  • Warrant the quality, safety, or legality of any service

All users acknowledge that they enter into service agreements directly with each other and that the platform bears no responsibility or liability for any disputes, damages, or issues arising from such agreements. This includes, but is not limited to, payment disputes, service quality issues, scheduling conflicts, or personal injuries.

By using this platform, you agree that you are solely responsible for your interactions with other users and for ensuring that any services you provide or receive comply with applicable laws and regulations.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SwissVillage, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this platform.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

2. User Accounts

To use certain features of the platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly update any changes to your information
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Be at least 18 years of age

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or ourCode Of Conduct.

3. Payments Between Users

SwissVillage does not process, handle, or facilitate any payments between users.

All financial arrangements, including pricing, payment methods, and timing, are made directly between the service provider and the service seeker. We strongly recommend:

  • Agreeing on payment terms in writing before services begin
  • Using secure payment methods that offer buyer/seller protection
  • Never sharing sensitive financial information through our chat system
  • Keeping records of all payment transactions

The platform is not responsible for any payment disputes, fraud, or financial losses arising from transactions between users.

4. User Conduct and Responsibilities

As a user of SwissVillage, you agree to:

  • Use the platform only for its intended purpose
  • Provide accurate descriptions of services offered or sought
  • Communicate respectfully with other users
  • Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws
  • Not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or identity
  • Not engage in any form of harassment, discrimination, or abuse
  • Not use the platform for illegal activities
5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SWISSVILLAGE AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
  • Personal injury or property damage resulting from user interactions
  • The conduct of any user, whether online or offline
  • Any errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in user-provided content
  • Service interruptions or technical issues

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SwissVillage from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these terms.

6. Dispute Resolution Between Users

Disputes between users regarding services, payments, or any other matters are to be resolved directly between the involved parties. SwissVillage:

  • Does not mediate disputes between users
  • Does not provide legal advice or representation
  • Is not responsible for the outcome of any dispute

If you experience issues with another user, you may use our reporting system to flag violations of our Code of Conduct. However, this does not constitute legal assistance or dispute resolution.
